ACQUA II NAVIGATES A CHANGING ENVIORNMENT

(Los Angeles, CA) — Everyone loves a little versatility when it comes to fashion, and designer Ian Saudē is bringing exactly that to his high-end fashion jewelry line. Based on the success of Saudē Acqua earrings, he is now introducing Acqua II and a flexible group of interchangeable 'Dangles' to his Meteor collection to mix up and accentuate both the new and original designs.

The new Acqua II design is similar to the original Acqua I huggie but is longer in scale and more oblong than round. These elegant sculpted pavé; hoops make a statement while remaining versatile enough for everyday wear. Available in champagne diamonds subtly micropavéd to conform to the earrings' unusual contours, the Acqua II's are delicate in proportion but substantial in appearance.

Both the Acqua I and II are compatible with the new Meteor Dangles which provide customers with greater flexibility, creativity and value. By adding or switching dangles on their existing Acqua earrings, customers can update a look, go from day to evening, coordinate with a new outfit, or travel with ease, knowing they can create countless combinations based on just one earring, without having to invest every time in a whole new piece. Dangles span a variety of looks and price points. Demi Moore recently wore Acqua I earrings with black diamonds at an event for the Half the Sky Foundation in New York City. Saudē explains, "I was inspired by a small group of pieces that I had seen many years ago, which I believe Cartier had done for Eva Peron. They were very glamorous but geared for travel, so each of the pieces was convertible. That idea has always stuck with me. I though that now was the right time to take this concept and modernize it — so I created chic, versatile pieces that make sense for today's women."

Meteor Dangles come in five base-designs, but each can be executed in numerous stone and metal color combinations.

The five Dangle designs are:

Alais shown in 18k rose gold with malaya zircon — a dusty shade of rose-plum.

Lea shown in 18k yellow gold with African amethyst surrounded by diamonds that are shaded from white to mocca.

Sahara shown in18k yellow gold with honey citrine.

Kaba shown in 18k yellow gold with mocca diamonds and oro verde citrine

Kobe shown in 18k yellow gold with brandy citrines.

Acqua I & II and the Meteor Dangles are part of Ian Saudē's Meteor Collection which is inspired by the wild, uneven surfaces of meteors and how they collide and join with the elements around them to form unique celestial creations.

Now based in Southern California, Ian Saudē lived in Nepal for 14 years while studying Buddhist philosophy. While working with artisans in the Himalayas and elsewhere in Asia, he became inspired to embark upon a design career. His fine jewelry and accessories showcase his singular aesthetic sensibility, subtly referencing both Eastern and Western artistic traditions in a modern way. He has collaborated on cashmere accessories for top European fashion houses including Giorgio Armani, Lanvin, Zegna, Agnona and others.
