PIAVE ONE, TWO, THREE

(Los Angeles, CA) April 27, 2009 — A cornerstone of Ian Saudē's Celestine Collection, his Piave Hoop Earrings have become instant classics and celebrity favorites. Spare and elegant in their simplicity, Saude created them in three sizes — each with a single ribbon of shaded diamonds ranging from white to caffè then to a deep mocca color. Stones are delicately tension-mounted in 18k rose or yellow gold, lining the outside-front and inside-back of this flattened, sculptural hoop. Piave I features about 1 ctw of diamonds; Piave II has approximately 1.45 ctw, and Piave III is an impressive oversized hoop with about 2.15ctw of diamonds. Each is also available with white diamonds (F-G color range, VVS1 clarity) in white gold or can be special ordered in various shaded exotic-colored sapphires.

Sophisticated but versatile, actress Teri Hatcher has just snapped up a pair of Piave I earrings at Broken English in Brentwood, California; Jessica Biel was spotted in Ian Saudē's Piave II at the 2008 Rome Film Festival.

"My inspiration came from above — literally, "says designer Ian Saudē. "To me, Celestine evokes the beauty and mystery of space. The vastness of the sky; the diffuse, glittering dust you see in the wake of a comet; and the seamless fading of darkness into light as the sun rises and sets. In the case of the black diamond pieces, it was the inscrutable depths of a dark, moonless night."

While they may not be the colors one thinks of when picturing a classic diamond, warm, and neutral-toned diamonds ranging from the softest 'sparkling' champagne to rich 'hot' chocolate, are the tones that inspire designer Ian Saudē to create many of his striking bejeweled rings, earrings and necklaces.

"Thanks to their natural warmth, I find that the color of these stones harmonizes better with the luster of yellow and rose gold than traditional white diamonds" explains Saudē. "And while they are very beautiful and have that incredible brilliance associated with diamonds — they are often much more affordable." Available at www.IanSaude.com, , Broken English in Brentwood, California, at www.Delamina.com, and at other fine jewelry retailers.
