INTRODUCING THE RUFFLE — A CASHMERE MUFFLER IN RAVISHING FALL/WINTER HUES
LUXURY DESIGNER IAN SAUDĒ ENVELOPS HOLLYWOOD STARS IN FINELY LOOMED HIMALAYAN CASHMERE

(Los Angeles, CA) SEPTEMBER 1, 2009 — Ruffles are fashion's must-have element for fall/winter and THE RUFFLE by luxury accessories label Ian Saudē makes it possible to add just one wardrobe piece to update virtually any outfit and strike a fashionable chord all season.

Q. What holiday gift would the woman in your life absolutely adore?
A. The one accessory that will instantly update her wardrobe: THE RUFFLE!

Hand-loomed by indigenous weavers in the Nepalese Himalayas, THE RUFFLE has already wrapped around the necks of glamorous 2009 Oscar winner Penelope Cruz and Oscar nominees Amy Adams and Melissa Leo. "A burst of color close to the face makes their eyes sparkle," Saudē said.

Neck and shoulders above most other cashmere wraps, Saudē's are 80 inches long and made of the most finely loomed baby-soft gauzy cashmere with a touch of spandex for a voluptuous "ruched" effect. The RUFFLE is offered in the fall/winter color palette of Winter Rose, Oceanic Blue, Sea Glass, Corolla, Cream, Natural and Eggplant, and is priced at $360 (SRP).

Now based in Southern California, Ian Saudē lived in Nepal for 14 years while studying Buddhist philosophy. While working with artisans in the Himalayas and elsewhere in Asia, he became inspired to embark upon a design career. His fine jewelry and accessories showcase his singular aesthetic sensibility, subtly referencing both Eastern and Western artistic traditions in a modern way. He has collaborated on cashmere accessories for top European fashion houses including Giorgio Armani, Lanvin, Zegna, Agnona and others. The IAN SAUDĒ: IS brand was launched in 2008 and can be found at Erica Tanov in NYC and San Francisco; Cashmere Inc. in Greenwich, CT; Girl Boy Girl in Carmel, CA, Broken English in Brentwood, CA and at www.iansaude.com.
